Use of GRID + the theme of TREES

These paintings were also done in Spring 2012 as a part of experimentation of landscapes. The grid and geometirical element is either embeded in the painting or works as a guide to invent a set of new landscape paintings. Small works of acrylic studies also suggest reinterpretation of the landscape as a place that either I am familiar with or completely unknown.

By focusing on the descriptions of the trees in landscape, I use "trees" as a visual clue for distance, perspective, and presence. Various tree-scapes make the viewers question and wonder where they are and what they are looking at. The place depicted in some of the paintings is based on the topographical features of a particular location but does not refer to a specfic geographical site.
